Based on our experience, gained in the process of designing and manufacturing a bigger vessel of a houseboat type, we have designed, with the use of the of the Hamburg Pearl water taxi’s hull, a new Janmor 920 houseboat.
The vessel provides comfort during long cruises on inland, as well as coastal waters.
In general, the vessel was meant for 6 persons (2 double cabins + double berth in the mess) with 2 bathrooms, spacious galley and a roomy mess, which makes the time spent on the boat more enjoyable. There are large lockers under all berths and numerous compartments, which enable passengers to place all personal luggage and necessary belongings easily on the yacht.
This is only an example of the available equipment. It may be custom made in order to meet the needs of every customer. Owing to quite low draught – 40 cm – the Janmor 920 may sail through the most inaccessible canals and rivers. Steering the boat does not require any qualification certificates and is extremely easy owing to the application of 1 Yanmar 30 hp three-cylinder motor and a bow thruster. Chamber of the motor is so soundproof that even during heavy operation of the device under the deck, no sounds can be heard.
Despite of the comfort provided inside, the vessel also offers a large space on the deck.
In the stern part, there is a big rear balcony – 1 m, which makes access to water and coast easy. It may also be used as the perfect fishing spot.
There are comfortable benches for passengers in the cockpit and additionally a large, swivel steersman’s chair. Table assembly is optional. A room for bikes and deck-chairs is provided at the foredeck.
The whole roof may be used for sunbathing (sundeck).
There is an option of equipping the vessel with a large roof window (together with panoramic windows in the cabin), owing to which passengers have the feeling of being closer to nature and at night, the feeling of sleeping in a comfortable bed with the stars above.
While designing the vessel, we have considered not only its aesthetics but also, and maybe most of all, the durability, quality and safety. Therefore, laminates used for production of the vessel are made of the best materials, manufactured by leading producers. Bottom of the hull has been reinforced and stiffened with solid floors and stringers which form the Grid. The whole deck is covered with the Airex foam. Along the cabin there are comfortable half-decks facilitating communication on the boat and helping during manoeuvres. All of this, combined with the shape of the hull, make the Janmor 920 a perfect house boat not only for individual ship owners but also for charter companies.
